Tanning
Having your first spray tan can seem daunting as you are trusting another person to carry out a treatment that can be ‘easily seen’. You need to consider your current skin shade, if you go too dark too soon people will notice but possibly not for the right reasons. Spray tans are safer than sunbeds or sunbathing.
Preparing for your tan; make sure you have shaved or waxed where you usually remove hair at least 24 hours prior to having a spray tan as it will cling to the open pores and may be noticeable. Shower a few hours beforehand but do not use any deodorant or moisturisers as the tan will not take in these areas as they acts as a barrier. Exfoliate your skin the day before to remove any dead skin cells to make the tan look more natural.
You will be advised how long as a minimum when you can shower from, the longer you keep the tan on the more it can develop. You will be asked to wear a shower cap to protect the majority of your hair and a small amount of barrier cream will need to be put onto your palms to protect these areas from the tan so that you have a natural glow. The only thing you need to think of will be strap marks you want! The spray tan should last around 5 days before noticeable fading. Also make sure you wear loose fitting clothing afterwards to stop any of the tan rubbing off.Visit our partners, shoes – leaders in fashionable footwear!
